Who Can Use the Service

Anyone who is over 16 years of age and has been accepted onto the KeyChoice housing register is able to use the KeyChoice service.  The quickest way to do this is to apply using our online application form, please Click Here to enter your application details.

The application form enables you to apply for Pennine Housing 2000 and other participating Housing Association properties within Calderdale.  If you do not fill in the form correctly it will be returned to you.  The date it is accepted from will be the date the fully completed form is received.

In some instances we may ask you to provide proof of the following:

  • Proof of identity (e.g passport, birth certificate);
  • Proof of current address (e.g recent gas or electricity bill);
  • Proof of pregnancy;
  • Proof of access to children;
  • Evidence of your right to reside in the UK if you are not a British Citizen (e.g passport and other relevant documents from the Home Office).

Before you are offered a property you may be asked to provide further documents to support your application. We will tell you what documents to provide and when to provide them.

If you do not provide us with documents required your application may be accepted onto the KeyChoice scheme, but will NOT be awarded any priority.  Once the documents are received your application will be assessed and placed in the appropriate band from the date the documents were received.

Click Prioritising Applications for more details on our banding scheme.
